About Me

My name is Jake. By trade, I'm an engineer—but life, for me, rarely slows down after the workday ends. My roommates affectionately call me an "information gatherer," and I gladly accept that title. I'm always planning my next adventure, diving into research, or exploring outdoors in some fashion. Alongside me on these adventures are my faithful four-legged companion, Jenny, and Jess, the wonderful person who keeps me grounded and grateful every day. 

I founded Aspen Labs LLC in 2024 out of a passion for helping local businesses thrive within industries that I love. Combining my curiosity for observing markets with my deep appreciation for numerous outdoor activities sparked the idea that perhaps I could provide valuable insights. Initially, I dedicated my time to developing a comprehensive research methodology, writing extensively each day, mostly for personal exploration. After allowing these ideas to mature, I began building a platform to share formal reports, connecting directly with local businesses.

Since then, it has been incredibly rewarding to work closely with shops that have supported me throughout my life. I consider this my way of returning the favor to the outdoor community that has always taken such good care of me.
